The house is on the first and last floor so there is a staircase to climb.

AIRPORTS
The main transport hub in the Marche is the Adriatic port city of Ancona. International flights serve the Marche airport just northwest of the city, while ferries sail to and from destinations in Greece, Croatia and Albania.

PRIVATE CAR
You must be a good driver in the Marche; the streets are narrow and often steep. Fly to Ancona and rent a car. For speed, take the A14, which connects the entire region along its 111 miles of coastline, from Pesaro in the north to Ascoli Piceno in the south. For pleasure, drive along the state roads through the beautiful landscapes of the Marche.

TRAINS
Once in the region, trains run along the coast and buses serve most of the inland towns and villages. Realistically though, you'll want your wheels to explore the region's verdant hinterland. The car rental service is available at the Marche airport and Ancona railway station.
